Description

This assay is used in the detection and semi-quantitation of autoantibodies to aid in the diagnosis of autoimmune disease, typically in the evaluation of patients with chronic liver disease in whom the diagnosis of chronic active autoimmune hepatitis is suspected.

Sample Requirements

Specimen:  Whole Blood

Container(s):  Gold SST; Red also acceptable

Preferred Vol:  2 mL

Minimum Vol:  0.6 mL

Note: 

Grossly lipemic and hemolyzed specimen are unacceptable.  Plasma samples not accepted.

Storage location:  Cell Markers box in CPA freezer.  Transfer serum to a plastic aliquot tube.
