Clinical Utility

Quantitative p210 BCR/ABL1 testing is performed using the Cepheid GeneXpert system which is able to detect 1 BCR/ABL1 positive cell in 100,000 normal cells. The result is reported as a percent ratio of BCR/ABL1 RNA to ABL1 RNA.
