Container(s): Sterile Screw-Capped Container

Preferred Vol:  1.0 mL

Minimum Vol: 0.5 mL

Notes: Protect sample from light. In-Patients: wrap paper towel around container and seal with one piece of tape. Off-Site: Wrap container in foil. Do not use cotton balls or guaze to collect specimen. Do not squeeze urine from diaper. Deliver to lab within one hour of collection. Due to reagent shortage confirmatory testing can't be done. Order a serum Bili if indicated.

Reject due to:  Non-sterile container, specimen not protected from light,  incorrect storage temperature, age of specimen, incorrect collection
