Specimen: Whole blood

Container(s): Lavender/EDTA or Lavender/EDTA microtainer

Preferred Vol: 1 mL

Minimum Vol:  0.5 mL

 

Note: Draw 30 minutes to 1 hour before next dose. Specimen must be received in the lab by 10:00 for same day results. If patient is receiving IV tacro, the lab sample must be drawn off a separate line or from a peripheral source. Assay can also be performed on dried bloodspots, but must order Tacrolimus Level Blood Spot.
