Note: Trachs, sputum, pleural fluid, and lung aspirate are acceptable specimens though their performance characteristics are still being determined. This test does not detect Bordetella parapertussis or Bordetella holmesii.

 

Viral testing includes: Adenovirus, Coronavirus, Human Metapneumovirus, Human Rhinovirus/Enterovirus, Influenza A, Influenza B, Parainfluenza Virus, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus.

 

Bacterial testing includes: Bordetella pertussis, Chlamydophila pneumoniae, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
