Specimen: Whole Blood or CSF
Container(s): Lavender/EDTA or Sterile Screw-Capped Container
Preferred Vol: 7.0 mL Whole Blood or 3 mL CSF
Minimum Vol: 4.0 mL Whole Blood or 2 mL CSF
Note: Specimens for this assay should not be shared with any other testing.
Processing Instructions
Reject due to: Serum, ACD (yellow top), and heparin (green top) are unacceptable.

Temp:-70 C
Storage location: Spin blood and remove plasma within 6 hours of collection. Transfer 2 - 3 mL plasma or CSF to a plastic aliquot tube. Freeze specimen in the CPA -70 C freezer send-outs rack.

Off-site collection: Spin blood and remove plasma within 6 hours of collection. Transfer 2 - 3 mL plasma or CSF to a plastic aliquot tube. Transport CSF or plasma frozen.
