Description

Intraoperative frozen sections are used to guide surgery.  Tissue should be sent fresh immediately to the laboratory where it is assessed by a pathologist using gross visualization and microscopic review of touch preparations and/or cryosections to inform surgeon about margins, tissue adequacy or other specific and relevant inqueries.
