Specimen: Stool

Container(s): Sterile Screw-Capped Container

Preferred Vol: 50.0 g

Minimum Vol: 15.0 g

 

Note: Specimen requirements: 10.0 g (walnut-sized)- 50.0 g (ping-pong ball sized) stool in a sealed, leakproof, sterile container or enema with sterile water or saline not to exceed 20.0 mL. Deliver to the lab ASAP. Method is affected by age of sample or improper storage or shipping.
