Important Note

Testing should be coordinated through the local health jurisdication (county of origin).  Providers should call the county health department to:

1. To determine whether meeting clinical criteria for testing.
2. To initiate the chain of command for diagnostic testing and reporting – to state, and/or to send specific specimen to state (or to reference lab).
3. Case history and contact/exposure investigation.

SCH Laboratory will receive instructions from the county or state DOH to submit specimens.
