Preferred Vol:  24 hour collection

Minimum Vol: Timed collections other than 24 hr are acceptable.

 

Note: No preservatives are needed to start collection.  Go to clinical laboratory with patient label to obtain urine jug.  Refrigerate sample during collection.  Document start and stop dates/times, along with patient information on label.  Deliver labeled jug to clinical laboratory upon completion. Timed collections other than 24 hr are acceptable.
