If sample is sent in syringe, or other sterile container without transport media, it should be sent via Delivery Express to SCH Micro for timely culture set up. If sample is received on ESwab it can be sent via courier to SCH for culture set up. Swab should be held at Room Temp before and during transport.
ESwab samples that are received after the second to the last courier of the day should be sent to SCH Micro via Delivery Express to minimize delay in culture set up and reading.
