Description
This assay is intended for the detection of IgG class antibodies to MPO (Myeloperoxidase) in human serum. It is to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of various autoimmune vasculitic disorders characterized by elevated levels of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA), particularly in patient with suspected Granulomatosis with Polyangitis [Wegener's Granulomatosis]. May also be useful to monitor treatment response in patients with MPO antibodies. The reported result is semi-quantitative.
