Note for approved send out: If sample is received outside of FHCC hours (9 AM to 3 PM) refrigerate sample and notify next morning shift to send at 8 AM.

1.  Cancel CD34 order and reorder as SCCA CD34.

2.  Use SCCA CD34 requisition (Green Form) next to Room Temp Sendouts rack.

3. Log in to Delivery Express and select "CPA-CD34 Weekend" from location dropdown menu.

4. Make a copy of the SCCA requisition and the Delivery Express shipping label. Staple together and place labels in Sendouts box for documentation.

5. Samples are sent at 8 am on Sundays and Holidays. Please leave a voicemail for the FH Cellular Therapy Lab at 206-606-1200 that a package has been sent.

There are no reference ranges established for mobilized CD34 levels.

Description

The purpose of this assay is to identify and quantify hematopoietic stem cells. The methodology used in this assay is based on the ISHAGE guidelines for dual platform CD34 flow cytometry determinations.
