Specimen: Whole Blood

Container(s):  Gold SST, Red, Gold Microtainer

Preferred Vol:  1.5 mL

Minimum Vol:  1.0 mL

 

Notes: Plasma is unacceptable.

 

A heterophile antibody response is only observed in  approximately 50% of children 4 years of age and younger.
