Methodology
Method: Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
Notes: The test is for the detection of Candida auris colonization by real-time PCR amplification. The assay has been optimized using the CDC published primer and probes sequences for the C. auris ITS2 gene. The lower limit of detection, LoD (the minimum CFU level that gives a positive result in 95% of replicates), confirmed at 30 CFU/mL.
