Ordering provider must call State Epidemiologist on call at (206) 418-5500 to determine testing priority (STAT vs Routine). Testing priority should be documented in the order comments and the Send Outs department must be notified. Contact Send Outs at ext. 7-2563.

During business hours, notify the Send Outs department of a STAT request. After business hours or on weekends, send STAT requests via Delivery Express to Public Health Laboratories (SO - State Lab in Delivery Express).

 

Off-site Collection: Spin bood and transfer 1.0 mL serum (Min. 0.6 mL) to an aliquot tube affixed with large Epic label. Transport refrigerated.
