Notify UW Microbiology (206) 598-6147 before sending the specimen out; they need to know when and how it will arrive. It can then be sent via UW/HMC courier, Mon - Fri at 0900 and 1600 or by crash box, Mon - Fri between 0730 and 1630. Use a UW/HMC Microbiology test request form.
