Container(s): Sterile Screw-Capped Container
Preferred Vol: 20.0 mL from 24-hour urine collection with 10 g Boric Acid.
Minimum Vol: 10.0 mL from 24-hour urine collection with 10 g Boric Acid
Note: Refrigerate during collection. Also acceptable for collection: 25 mL 50% acetic acid or 6N HCL. Test includes a urine creatinine. Method is affected by improper specimen collection and by pH (must be< 7.5).

Storage location: Place entire collection jug in CPA 2 refrigerator. Mix well, measure and note total volume. pH must be <7.5. Transfer 20 mL to a plastic urine bottle affixed with a large label and refrigerate in the CPA refrigerator. Frozen specimens are acceptable.
Off-site collection: Mix well, measure and note total volume. pH must be <7.5. Transfer 20 mL to a plastic urine bottle and transport refrigerated.
