Container(s): Red, Gold/SST, Dark Green/Sodium Heparin, Lt. Green/Lithium Heparin
Preferred Vol: 6.0 mL
Minimum Vol: 5.0 mL
Note: DO NOT OPEN TUBE. Fill tube by injecting blood through the stopper. For ethanol only, order "Ethanol."

Send sample to Harborview (HMC) immediately. Sample must be processed at HMC within 2 hours of collection. Handle specimen as STAT. Label the tube with a large Cerner label, notify Send Outs personnel, and refrigerate in the CPA refrigerator. If Send Outs unavailable, send via Delivery Express DIRECT to HMC GWH-47 regardless of order priority. See STAT Send Outs protocol.
