Description

This testing detects HIV-1 p24 Antigen in addition to HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies. The added detection of HIV-1 p24Ag shortens the antibody-negative window period associated with acute HIV-1 infection. Reactive samples will reflex to additional immunoassay testing for confirmation.

Reactive samples will be sent to UW for HIV 1 RNA testing.
