Description
This test is for the detection of CMV in urine. This FDA-cleared DiaSorin Molecular Simplexa™ test is used to quickly and effectively detect congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection, a major cause of hearing loss in infants.
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) DNA is detected via nucleic acid amplification.

Preferred Vol: >1.0 mL
Minimum Vol: 0.25 mL
Processing Instructions
CPA: Send sample to Microbiology.
Off-site collection: Freeze and send frozen sample to SCH Microbiology Laboratory.
