Description
This assay is used in the detection and quantitation of autoantibodies to aid in the diagnosis of autoimmune disease. The ANA Screen WITHOUT Reflex to Components screens for IgG class antibodies to 11 separate analytes in human sera.
If all 11 components have results <1.0 AI (or less than 10 IU/mL for dsDNA), the screen is negative, and the patient does not have detectable levels of antibodies for dsDNA, SS-A, SS-B , Sm, Sm/RNP, RNP, Chromatin, Ribosomal-P protein, Centromere B, Scl-70, or Jo-1.
GI providers may order this test if they do not want a Positive result to reflex to distinguish with components are positive.
